IDP1 Project 2-The PlayList,Compact Listening Booth

In this project,we were asked to design a compact listening booth based on our music genre. The compact listening booth must include the activties and body language of the listener. Not only that,at least two mechanisms has to be apply in it.For example like nesting, folding, hinge, expand & contract and etc.
I had design to area for my compact listening booth, one is the sitting area and another one is the standing area. The concept of my design of this listening booth is the freestyle of hip hop music and the dancing moves of hip hop.
These are the pictures from different angle of my model:

Rhythm Wall(Keyword)

The keyword of my ryhtm wall is shizzle ma nizzle. The reason i put shizzle ma nizzle as my keyword is because shizzle ma nizzle means I concur with you whole heartedly my African american brother. As we know that,Hip hop as music and culture formed during the 1970s when block parties became increasingly popular in New York City, particularly among African American youth residing in the Bronx.I set the brick wall with a grafitti on it as my background of my rhythm wall so that it can be clearly link to hip hop music. While, the piping on the wall represent the brotherhood. It also mean the unity and caring  among the brotherhood.Brotherhood are like real family for them. This is because most of the people who involve themself in hip hop music emphasis on brotherhood. Some of the lyrics of hip hop musics are also about of brotherhood. So that i think that brotherhood is really very important for all the hip hop people. They cherish and appreciate brotherhood very much.I think that Shizzle Ma Nizzle is the most suitable keyword for my rythm wall off hip hop music.

Interior Design Project Semester 2:First Assignment-Infographic Board

During our first day in our interior design project 1 class,we were given our first assignment, infographic board. We were divided into 5 person per group to work together for this particular assignment. Each group were given different music genre for the infographic board. Our group's theme for this project is Hip Hop.
Before we started to do our infographic board,we start to research about our music genre,Hip Hop to get a deeper understanding about the style and the culture of Hip Hop music. After doing the research,we discussed and figure out the layout and design for the infographic board that we decided to use. In the end, we decided to do some pop up arts and 3D paper craft to make up our board. Not only that,we also decided to use both faces of our board. The idea behind the design of our board was that we decided to bring out the randomness and the freestyles of the Hip Hop music.
This is the overall of our infographic board:
The front of the board.
The back of the board.
We had divided ourselves into different parts while doing our infographic board. I worked mainly on the graphic about the background of the board, and try to visualise the information needed to be placed in the board. While others of my group members worked on other parts of the board. We had work hard and try our best to produce a infographic board that we hope our lecturers will satisfied it.

Marker Rendering

I very enjoyed doing this assignment because this is my first time doing marker rendering in this interior space and it was really a great experience.I think I should practice more to improve my marker rendering skill.

Group Assignment:Model Making

We were divided 4 person in a group for this assignment. My group mates are Wei Ning, Mishu and Olivia. We enjoyed doing this assignment so much.Because this is our first time doing the model. It is not easy to make the model because we have to cut it into very small pieces. It was too small to paste it together also.It needs a lot of patience, time and group work to finish the model.
